Vinyl/Composite post tensioners include a steel ring that protects the sleeve from damage during tensioning and provides a clean finished look. This extra fitting is not included in wood tensioners.

Do longer tensioners provide more tension?

No, longer tensioners do not provide additional tension. The increased length simply accommodates the extra space between the post and sleeve.

What do “XL” and “XXL” mean for sleeved post tensioners?

"XL" and "XXL" refer to different tensioner length sizes, allowing for appropriate sizing based on post dimensions and installation needs.
